Hello and Welcome to Wisteria!
I am Dawn Featherstone, an independent celebrant based in the South Lincolnshire/Peterborough/Cambridge area, but covering the whole of the UK if this is something that you require.

I am a passionate and creative story teller, and am truly looking forward to telling your story to make your ceremony unique and memorable.
After qualifying as a Couples and Families Celebrant with Civil Ceremonies, I then went on to qualify as a Funeral Celebrant, and am now fully registered with the AOIC and The Celebrant Directory.
​
My own story began many years ago, when I started my career as a primary school teacher after graduating from Manchester Metropolitan University with a BEd (Hons). I have spent much of my career living and working overseas, in Germany and the Falkland Islands, with the Ministry of Defence, teaching children of serving military. Now back home, still teaching in a wonderful Year 2 class, I am also embracing my new career as a celebrant.

I have two children of my own - now 'grown and flown', and a beautiful granddaughter, who is the light of my life.
​
I live with my cat, Jeff, who you may see in our Zoom chats, as he insists on taking centre stage whenever I attempt to do anything like work!

Turning a Vision into Reality
Wedding Celebration Ceremonies
To start our journey together, we will work closely to create a beautiful, personal and unique ceremony. You will have complete ownership of the content and will be sent a draft copy of the script to approve, We can edit at any stage until you are totally happy with your ceremony content.
On the day of your ceremony, I will arrive early to ensure that everything is absolutely perfect! I am happy to help with buttonholes, direct guests, top up wine glasses, lacing your dress up or simply hold your hand to stop you from shaking.

A Perfectionist on Every Detail
As your celebrant, I will work with you to tailor make your ceremony, ensuring that your dream for 'The Perfect Day' becomes a reality. Hiring a celebrant, gives you all sorts of wonderful options and chances to include some personal touches. You might wish to include a beautifully visual handfasting or sand ceremony, jump the broom or add wishes to an ornate Wishing Tree, which you will keep forever. You can even design your own, completely unique ritual, that reflects you and your partner or family.
With a celebrant led ceremony, you can do any or all of these things!
Separate the legalities, and hold a truly personalized ceremony that tells your story. By working together, we will create a ceremony that is as traditional or modern, long or short, wherever and whenever you wish!
Your vows or promises can be created by you, me or all of us, and I will be here to help at all times.
Having a celebrant to conduct your ceremony gives you complete freedom to make all of these decisions and many more, and to create something uniquely yours.
