Celebrating your wedding or civil partnership in your chosen location.

Once you have completed your legal paperwork, you are free to celebrate your Marriage or Civil Partnership anyway, anywhere and in any way that you choose! This is YOUR chance to get creative and include as much (or as little!) as you wish in your celebration ceremony. You can include a beautiful symbolic ritual, such as handfasting, jumping the broom, a wonderfully visual Rose or Unity Candle Ceremony - the choices are endless! Let's get to work!

Renewing your vows
A bespoke ceremony to reaffirm your wedding or civil partnership vows.

Renewing your vows can be a way to mark a significant anniversary or milestone in your relationship. You may be going through, or have recently overcome, difficult times and wish to reaffirm your love for each other. Or maybe you simply enjoyed your wedding day so much that you want to do it all over again! Whatever your reason, you can be assured that I will work closely with you both to ensure that your ceremony is perfect - whether you decide to have a small, intimate ceremony or invite everybody in your address book! I can't wait to hear your story.

Commitment or Promise Ceremony
Affirm your love and commitment to each other without the legalities.

Would you like to celebrate or affirm your commitment to each other, without the legalities of a marriage or civil partnership? Maybe you are intending to have a legal ceremony later, but for now, would like to celebrate your love and show commitment to each other in front of your friends and family. A Commitment or Promise Ceremony is a great way to do this.
As there are no legal constraints, you have complete freedom to hold this ceremony anywhere and at any time that you like, and to be as creative with the content as you like.
I would love to meet with you to chat through your ideas and work with you to create a truly memorable day that shares with your guests just how much you mean to each other.

Couples Ceremony Packages
Something Small and Intimate - £550 Available at off-peak times, this ceremony may be just the ticket if you are eloping, or if you wish to keep your wedding day ‘small and intimate’. Even so, you will still get a completely unique ceremony, and I will share your love story with friends and family. This package includes: •An initial chat, either in person or via Zoom, to talk about your ceremony and to gather all of the information needed to prepare it. •A digital copy of ‘hints and tips’ for vow writing emailed to you, so that you can write your own vows. •Drafting of your ceremony, followed by a read through on Zoom to check the details. •Final edit if required. •Delivery of your ceremony at your venue on the day. I will arrive 30 minutes beforehand to organise the ceremony space and greet your guests. •A simple presentation of your wedding ceremony for you to keep as a memento of your day.
Something With a ‘Bit of a Pop’ - £750 Available on most days of the week, with the exception of certain ‘peak’ holiday and festival dates (eg Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, Valentine’s Day). This ceremony is perfect for couples who want that ‘bespoke’ feel for their ceremony, where they and their guests will hear a beautifully crafted ‘love story’ and experience some ‘extra-special’ moments throughout the ceremony. This package includes: •An initial chat, either in person or via Zoom, to talk about your ceremony and to gather the any information needed to prepare it. •A personalised questionnaire sent to you each separately, so that we can gather more information, such as personal anecdotes and stories, to include in your ceremony. •A digital copy of ‘hints and tips’ for vow writing which will give you ideas for your vows, followed by individual Zooms to write your vows with me. A copy of your vows will be included within your bespoke ceremony script, as well as handed to you on card for you to read out on the day. •Drafting of your ceremony, followed by a read through on Zoom to check the details. •Final edit if required. •Delivery of your ceremony at your venue on the day. I will arrive 60 minutes beforehand, to ensure that the venue is set up, to organise the ceremony space and to support you (and your guests) prior to the event if needed. •One simple ‘extra element’, such as a Rose or Sand Ceremony, or lighting of Unity Candles. •A bespoke ceremony certificate, with space for you and your witnesses to sign on the day. •A bound copy of your wedding ceremony, including vows, for you to keep as a memento of your day.
Something with ALL the Pazzazz! - £1250 Available on all days, high days, and holidays, including Christmas Day! This ceremony has all the above, and much more and is for those couples who want their wedding day ceremony to be ‘the one that we all remember’ for years to come! This package includes: •An initial chat in-person chat, with cake and prosecco/non-alcoholic choice of drink, at your venue (or other suitable location of your choosing) to go through your ceremony requirements. •At our in-person meeting, I will take detailed notes of your love story, with which I will begin to draft your ceremony. •A personalised questionnaire sent to you each separately, so that we can gather more information, such as personal anecdotes and stories, to include in your ceremony. •A bespoke vow writing service, individually with each of you to keep that ‘element of surprise’ on the day – we can do this via Zoom or over email. •Drafting of your ceremony, followed by a read through on Zoom to check the details. •Final edit if required. •A separate venue visit, nearer to the time, to talk with your event planner and other suppliers if appropriate, to go through the finer details of the ceremony and venue space. We can, if you wish, do a ‘walk through’ at this stage with you and any members of the bridal party. •Delivery of your ceremony at your venue on the day. I will arrive 90 minutes beforehand, to ensure that the venue is set up, to organise the ceremony space and to support you (and your guests) prior to the event if needed. Extra time will be given on the day if you wish to do a final walk-through in the morning. •Up to 3 bespoke ‘extra elements’ to add a special, personal ‘glow up’ to your ceremony, such as my unique ‘letter from friends and family’, where I contact your friends and family before the ceremony and ask them to tell me funny, loving, and memorable stories about you. I then put this into an always beautiful, often tear-jerking, letter, which I will read out and present to you ‘from them’ on the day. You can also add other elements, such a handfasting, ring warming, a rose or sand blending ceremony, or lighting of Unity Candles – all of which are lovely if you wish to include others in your ceremony. •A bespoke ceremony certificate, with space for you and your witnesses to sign on the day. •A personalised, boxed scroll of your ceremony script and vows for you to keep as a memento of your day, or, if you prefer, a specially made digital version with music, which is sent via mp3.
Prices reflect 2023 bookings and will be subject to a 10% increase on bookings for 2024.
Family Ceremonies
Naming Ceremony
Introduce your child into your family by having a naming ceremony.

Celebrate the arrival of your baby or child by having a beautiful naming ceremony. This is different to a Baptism, because the focus is on welcoming your child and introducing them to your family and friends, rather than on the religious aspect.
Every naming ceremony is different, and I will work with you to create a truly memorable day. You could have it themed around a special book or poem, or even your child's favourite character or toy! For that 'Extra Sparkle', a Unity ceremony might be included, such as candle lighting or a Tree of Wishes for your child. I have lots of ideas and am always happy to help you create something unique to you and your family.

Welcoming Ceremonies
Welcome an adopted child/children into your family circle.

Such a wonderful and special event in any family deserves celebrating! Welcome your child/children formally into your family, and introduce them to your wider circle of friends with a Welcoming Ceremony.
Children often have their own ideas of how they wish to celebrate - and they are incredibly creative! Why not involve them (if they are old enough) in the planning stages? As a primary school teacher of over 20 years, and an Early Years Specialist, I am more than happy to meet with you and your child to bring their ideas to life.

Family Blending Ceremony
Celebrate joining your families in a wonderful blending ceremony.

If you and your partner have recently joined both of your families together, you may wish to celebrate this with a Family Blending Ceremony. Do you have step-children and wider family members who might need to feel that they are being acknowledged? It can be a tricky and sometimes challenging road to tread, but by celebrating and by making promises to each other, every family member can feel included in your new family unit.
Everyone can be involved in this by adding in a unity ceremony, which is not only a great visual in your ceremony, it is also a symbolic way to show the joining of two families.

Renaming or Gender Affirmation
Gender Affirmation Ceremony
Celebrate your transition with a Gender Affirmation Ceremony.

Can there be a more life-changing milestone than gender reassignment? If you have undergone this transition, and are adopting a new name, your journey is one to be celebrated with family and friends. You may wish to publicly thank everyone who has supported you through your transition, or simply share your personal journey. I would love to help you
Expressing gratitude for all those who provided support along the way is also part of moving through the transition into incorporation. I would love to help you to create and deliver a unique and personal ceremony, that reflects and embraces who you are.

Funeral and Memorial Services
Working together, we will create a special and dignified farewell for your loved one.
A funeral or memorial service is a significant and major event, marking the end of a unique life. signifies the end of a unique life. Usually, time is short in preparing for it, and there are so many other things happening at the same time. You want it to go well, with a ceremony that truly reflects the personality and individual beliefs of the person everyone has come here to honour and remember. The ceremony should be as unique as they were...and that's where choosing me as your independent celebrant can help.

I will work closely with you, and whoever else you would like me to contact, to create a ceremony that truly captures the character, spirit and essence of the person, and tell the story of a life that has been lived, putting them at the heart of the ceremony.

If you need help to find suitable readings, poems or music, I have a wealth of ideas that I can support you with too, and I will be on hand every step of the way to make this incredibly painful journey, as smooth and stress free as possible.

Whether you have chosen to have your ceremony in a crematorium, church, woodland burial ground or community venue, or a more personal memorial service in a location that is unique to you and your family, I am happy to be involved in whatever way you need me to be. I can also liaise with other professionals on your behalf if this is something that you are wanting to include.

By working together, we will create the final farewell that you need at this most personal and challenging of times.

Planning your own funeral
There are times when some of us need, or wish, to start making preparations for our own funeral. Sometimes this is simply because you have certain ideas as to how you wish your funeral to go, but more often these days, people are planning their own end of life ceremonies, as they are coming to terms with a diagnosis.
If you are at this stage in your preparations, I can support you through the process and talk about the different options available. Together, we can create the ceremony that YOU want. Of course, I will be sensitive to your families needs, and work with you all in a way that makes this painful journey as easy as possible. When the time comes to say farewell, I will work closely with your family and friends to ensure that your wishes are carried out in the way that you planned.

My Fees for Funerals and Memorials
Children under 18 - Free
From £250 for a standard length service at a crematorium or chapel.
Additional fees will apply for extended length ceremonies, whether these are at a crematorium, chapel, graveside or any other venue.
I will always confirm my full fees after our initial conversation.​
